Abstract
Summary form only given. Research and development on learning technologies is now several decades old. Yet, what and how children, students and professionals learn has barely changed. Meanwhile, the need for better learning is higher than ever if we want to have any chance to effectively deal with the pressing problems of our times. In this talk, I will challenge you to help define a worldwide agenda for relevant research on learning technologies. Examples will illustrate how technology can provide more opportunities for more relevant learning: this is not about breakthroughs in technology, but about a more even distribution of the future...
