Abstract :
A new bicycle model based on cellular automata was presented in this paper, which was built according to analyzing the characteristics of bicycle flow and the riderspsila behaviors. The bicycle had two moving direction in this model and the s-track could be simulated through this model. Several simulations were operated under periodic boundary condition to validate the accuracy of the model. The simulation results showed that the modelpsilas speed-density and flow-density characteristics accorded with the theoretical and practical data. Further researches showed the speed and capacity of bicycle influenced by different riderspsila behaviors and different road conditions.
