Based on the analysis of concrete material model, reinforcing steel material model, multi-parameter strength criterion of the ANSYS, finite element models for three-dimensional nonlinear reinforced concrete structures have been constructed and a three-dimensional finite element nonlinear analysis program for reinforced concrete structures has been developed with the ANSYS software. A high strength RC beam is simulated and studied by the program. In the program, two models of reinforcing bar, separated and distributive, are considered. Many finite element models and material models provided by the ANSYS are adopted. The differences of the results obtained by using different model combination are presented and the reasons of the differences are discussed. Through comparing different combinations, the nonlinear material model that can effectively simulate the failure performance of reinforced concrete structures is presented.
