Abstract :
With the continuous trend towards smaller mobile devices with sophisticated functionality and multiple wireless bands, concerns about possible insufficient over-the-air (OTA) performance and increased Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) values are growing within the wireless-telephone industry. These new phones must also comply with the hearing aid compatibility (HAC) standards. The aim of this paper is to review current trends of OTA, SAR and HAC requirements and to discuss the tools available for developing and analyzing optimized devices.
