Abstract :
The potential of modern mobile technology enable one not to be physically present at the site of data processing, which is normally necessary in manual activities. Mobility requires information independence on stationary physical medium, but also the evolution of devices used in data processing in terms of integration and minimalization of data processing accessories. Modern mobile phones comprise different functions that are at the level of stationary devices for data processing. In terms of hardware power, these devices are behind larger stationary computers, therefore the increase of mobile phone functionality lies in the communication component which ensures virtual integration of mobile and stationary devices through digital data exchange. For this purpose SMS and WAP are of particular interest, as their simplicity of usage and principles of functioning provide convenience, functionality, reliability, speed, efficiency and effectiveness of data processing system. Implementation of these services ensures minimum migration efforts from one technological level to another, which is a dominant success factor for this processing concept. A complex mobile calculator that uses a mobile phone as an interface with a more complex processing unit is an example of integration capability of digital mobile and computer technology aimed at solving complex numerical processing, which cannot be solved independently by a mobile phone alone. Without modern digital communications, such electronic data processing could not ensure a mobile component
