Abstract :
Carbon microcoils (CMCs) which could be extended and contracted were used to manufacture biomimetic tactile sensors of CMC/polysilicone composite sheet as artificial skins. In this study, the influences of the electrodes conditions on the L, C, and R parameter-output and the dynamic properties were investigated. The response time of these novel sensors was on a millisecond order. This performance is far better than classic tactile sensors
