Abstract :
In this paper, a slip recovery power induction machine drive is introduced which is adaptively vector controlled in the stator flux reference frame. Using this method, the active and reactive powers injected to the stator circuits can be independently controlled so that the drive system is robust and stable against the variations of the electrical parameters and uncertainties. In the proposed control method, the recursive least square (RLS) method is applied to estimate the machine parameters taking into consideration the machine iron toss resistance. The RLS estimator operates in parallel with the system main controllers. The effectiveness and validity of the proposed method is tested by computer simulation
