On the traffic control method for congested urban road based on synergetics theory

Traffic congestion of urban cities are becoming more and more serious. Dealing with congestion is becoming more and more indispensable. Firstly, this paper summarizes the research all over the world. After that, a traffic control method based on synergetics theory is proposed. Architecture, strategies and models are proposed. At last, a simulation based on VISSIM 4.2 using this method is done to evaluate its effect and validity. The results prove that this method is useful and better than traditional method.
