Cognitive features of team decision making

The development of tools for the analysis of team decision making is described. The first tool considered is a model which describes the team decision process. The second is a taxonomy, anchored to the model, of potential sources of errors unique to team decision making. Like the proposed team decision model, the proposed taxonomy is based on the observations and results from multiple projects studying team decision processes. Implications of the proposed model and a taxonomy for system design are examined
