Abstract :
KT, the largest Korean telecom, has researched various energy management technologies from an ICT perspective for several years and its research areas cover renewable energy, smart appliances, and electric vehicle charging. Launching a remarkable Smart Grid project, utilizing experiences and capabilities it has developed delivering ICT services to 20 million home customers and 3 million B2B partners, KT aims to provide Smart Grid service as one of its future energy businesses. This paper deals with the KT Smart Green Service for home energy management, shows how KT applied unique services in Smart Grid, and also provides useful information about the KT Smart Grid business models.
