Abstract
We present a two-dimensional time-frequency radar ambiguity function that accurately describes the operation of a compressive receiver. The most important benefit of this approach is a possibility of application of radar signal design methods for ambiguity function shaping in the field of compressive receivers. The results of ambiguity function shaping are also presented. Without significant degradation of the receiver resolution, we successfully designed a compression filter which suppresses the sidelobes
