Abstract
The development of an implementation tool for the automatic generation of high-performance control code is described. The environment considered will automate the generation of parallel real-time control code. The authors give an overview of the controller hardware platform and describe the software development system. The development system allows the user to program in a graphical block diagram format and specify the required real-time responses at this level. Software tools are provided to interpret the graphical input and automatically generate real-time control code suitable for execution on the target hardware. This project focuses on the transputer microprocessor and produces Occam 2 intermediate code
