Abstract
Records over the last decades indicate a high growth rate for tourism, making it one of the most important industries in the world economy. Since estimates outline a consolidation of this trend, an accurate identification and assessment of the environmental impacts related to the tourist products is increasingly necessary. Starting with the assumption that socio-cultural aspects of tourism demand will need to change in response to global warming, this paper identifies low-carbon supply chain management that highlight the complexities of dealing with climate change in an industry characterized. The paper´s approach is to problematic the issues into a series of research questions based on the premise that sustainable tourism is possible and desirable.
