Abstract
Ten steps for the life-cycle cost (LCC) analyst to follow to complete a successful LCC analysis are presented. The LCC analysis steps proposed are the following: determine the purpose of the LCC analysis, define and scope the system support system, select the appropriate estimating methodology/LCC models, gather data and make the appropriate inputs to the methodology/model, perform sanity checks of inputs and outputs, perform sensitivity analysis and risk assessment, formulate the results of the LCC analysis, document the LCC analysis, present the LCC analysis, and update the LCC analysis/baseline. These steps are discussed in detail
