Abstract :
To calibrate an array antenna in a practical system application, we presented the array calibration method by an antenna switching system located near the array. The optimum location of reference antennas for calibration to obtain high calibration accuracy is even degree intervals in ±60° of the front of the array. We also showed that the tilted reference antennas are effective in practical use, which were also verified.
