Abstract
Presented is the full-EM synthesis of nonuniform transmission lines utilising time-domain reflectometry. It is shown that optimising a time-domain response using a series of small time intervals is superior to an optimisation of the frequency-domain response. The time-domain response is computed from the EM-simulated frequency-response using adaptive sampling and rational function interpolation followed by an FFT. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the validity of the technique
