Abstract :
Portable electronic products have become essential to the business world. Based on current trends, several analysts expect that 50% of all portable electronics will be battery powered by the year 2000. Here, the author examines the cycle life of secondary batteries for such applications and discusses the impact that the improvement of the cycle life of rechargeable batteries will have on environmental waste reduction
