Abstract :
PCB (printed circuit board) fabrication is the most popular process for electronic production. It will appeal to major electronic engineers to adopt fully the board process once antenna design can be easily included on the PCB. The production yield rate can be improved because the PCB technology is very stable and reliable. The paper proposes a design method to achieve a general dual-band antenna design easily. HFSS version 8.0 is used to accomplish the methodology of such a dual-band antenna design. A printed antenna can replace the traditional helical monopole easily. The monopole can be made by metallic line coils with some covered material. We use two layered board to realize this planar helical antenna. We can modify the dual-band helical antenna very easily and feasibly.
