Review of back propagation neural network applied to athletics

The structure and algorithms of back propagation neural network are presented, and the application of BP neural network to athletics is summarized systematically. The results of application on the athletic achievements prediction and evaluation model of athletics show that the proposed model of BP neural network can meet the precision request since its strong nonlinear mapping ability. Based on this, some open problems about design of BP neural network model and some new research directions are also analyzed.
