Abstract :
In CDMA systems power control is essential for good performance. However, in a practical power control system, power control errors occur. In addition, when uplink fast power control is able to track the multipath fading, the intercell interference increases. In this paper, an analysis of the average error rate of CDMA systems with fast power control over a Rayleigh fading channel is carried out. Numerical results for different number of resolvable paths, processing gain and user mobility are presented. The system capacity is also investigated
