Abstract :
Surface topography has a major impact on mechanical properties. Since actual measured surfaces contain noise, they are not suitable for analysis and investigation, reconstruction of surface topography is necessary. Discrete Fourier Transform can convert date in spatial domain to frequency domain. The surface information is confirmed from the amplitude- frequency distribution in frequency domain. In this paper, putting forward an approach which determining information points based on the changes of surface height.
