  • Abstract
In this paper, we study a nonblocking switch with a single plane or multiple planes, both combined with a window scheme, and analyze its performance. Here, we consider two schemes of windowing. In scheme A windowing is done on the switching planes, and in scheme B it is done on the head-of-line (HOL) packets. From the analysis, we obtain the maximum throughput of a nonblocking packet switch with a single plane combined with windowing
