Abstract
The present paper proposes a series capacitive decoupling for an innovative universal power conditioner. Preliminarily a comparison with series inductive configuration is discussed. Control strategy is then proposed. The series capacitive configuration allows the same basic characteristics of the other one, obtaining the same dynamic performances and reference tracking precision. Moreover the decoupling capacitor has two important advantages: high frequency ripple is filtered and inductive reactive power of system inductors is balanced with a significant benefit in terms of power converter dimensioning
