Abstract :
We propose a novel structure of left-handed leaky wave antenna (LH LWA) which can steer the radiation angle for a fixed frequency. A unit cell has been designed at 78 GHz by full-wave simulated dispersion characteristics, and a backward-to-forward beam scanning antenna has been numerically demonstrated. The beam scanning angle is +18° to -23° at 78 GHz.
