Abstract :
This paper first describes the grid-connected characteristics of wind power system. Then the reactive compensation for the wind farms using static var compensator (SVC) is proposed to improve the grid-connected capacity and the operation performance of the wind farms, so as to make the grid-connected quality of the wind farms can be ensured. At last, the reactive optimization control for the wind power system is studied and the compensation effect is analyzed at the end of this paper.
