Abstract
An error control scheme based on the turbo code is proposed and simulated for wireless ATM networks in a multipath fading channel. The packet error performance is substantially improved by increasing the number of iterations in the turbo decoding process and interleaver length of a turbo encoder. It can be concluded that turbo coding is a very promising technique to effectively control channel errors for wireless ATM networks. The results can be applied to error control schemes for wireless ATM networks
