Abstract :
This paper presents the influence of the voltage dips on the variable speed wind turbines with doubly fed induction generators (DFIG) and its power electronic components. A typical medium size turbine is modelled including the AC/DC/AC converters within Matlab/Simulink/ Simpower systems. Suitable speed, torque and reactive power controllers are implemented choosing classical VFO control. These studies are used to define the influence of the voltage perturbation on each electrical or mechanical variable, included the IGBT´s currents
