Abstract :
We present recursive implementation for the computation of the discrete cosine transform (DCT-IV) and discrete sine transform (DST-IV). We also present a recursive structure that can be used to simultaneously compute the DCT-IV and DST-IV. We use the Clenshaw´s recurrence formula (CRF) to obtain recursive structures for the DCT-IV and DST-IV. All these structures are easily amenable to VLSI implementation using modular structures
