Abstract
PALSAR PolInSAR capability was evaluated. One of the important capabilities that the PolInSAR offers is to estimate the forest height. For one-year and more months after the launch of the ALOS on Jan. 24 2006, PLASAR observed several test areas using the polarimetry modes repeatedly. We applied the PolInSAR method to retrieve the forest heights of the four test sites in Japan and Amazon. In this paper, we introduce an applied method and results. The results show that the forest tree height can be estimated with good accuracy.
