Abstract
A three dimensional, efficient, directive microstrip antenna array having low side lobe level (SLL) is described. The NXN elements in the antenna are arranged in a planar configuration and are excited in space using a single feed microstrip patch. The array has lesser requirements on fabrication tolerances since the feed-lines network is completely avoided which results in good efficiency. The planar array structure can be packaged inside the application platform
