Abstract :
In this paper stabilization issues for a NCS that uses a Delta-Modulator Scheme within its encoder/decoder structures are analyzed, in addition modifications for the Δ - M algorithm and the details & limitations of the original scheme are analyzed. Then a new design of a 2-Bit Delta Modulator encoder/decoder scheme is presented. The results show that the maximum number of bits that can be sequentially lost depends on the region where a certain estimation error lies. The encoder/decoder can keep the simplicity and desirable characteristics of the 1-Bit scheme that allow us to handle a specific and predetermined number of lost packets.
