Abstract
This paper highlights a recent collaborative the EPA´s SF6 6 emission reduction study between partnership for electric power systems and the electric power industry to investigate SF6 leak rates from high voltage circuit breakers manufactured and installed between 1998 and 2002. Information from over 2,300 circuit breakers were analyzed to quantify the frequency of leaks and to estimate the weighted average annual leak rate for this population of circuit breakers. The methodology, data, and results of this study are presented
