Abstract :
This paper describes a small uniform circular array (UCA) designed for super-resolution direction finding and spatial signal separation. The experiment results with the UCA reveal there are considerable differences on accuracy, resolution capacity and other performances between theoretical predicted and measured results. We find array errors are the main reasons that make such differences. Several error estimation techniques are developed. Examples shown in this paper demonstrate the performances can get a great improvement after compensation. Thus, the major benefits of using such system in radio communication system are confirmed.
