Abstract :
A new relaxation oscillator scheme for voltage regulators with low temperature coefficient of the frequency is proposed and designed. The oscillator has been successfully implemented in a standard BiCMOS technology on an effective area of 0.1mm2. The oscillation frequency is 100kHz at room temperature. A low quiescent current (1.5μA) and a very small temperature coefficient of the frequency have been achieved. Therefore a variation of 14% has been measured for the whole operated temperature range (-40°C to 150°C).
