Abstract :
As an integral part of cyber physical systems (CPSs), a wireless sensor network (WSN) consist of spatially distributed autonomous devices that use sensors to monitor physical dynamics. In this paper, the scheduling of packet transmission over multi-hop wireless ad hoc sensor networks is studied for the purpose of system state stabilization. To measure the effective information amount of different packets, the concept of virtual queue is defined. The impact of transmission time delays on virtual queue lengths is studied for the formulation of distributed scheduling strategy. The scheduling method is then applied in the context of voltage control in microgrid and validated by numerical simulations.
