Abstract
Domain-specific software architectures are one of the most relevant products of domain modeling. A new architectural style, with its corresponding architectural elements and constraints, is proposed. The style matches the constructive principles of the object-oriented and real-time communities, such that design decisions can be evaluated based on a mathematical analysis of real-time behaviour prior to testing activities. The style is applied in a specific domain: real-time data acquisition and alarm monitoring of industrial processes. Its application to other object-oriented systems with concurrent paths of sequential processing is also possible
