Abstract :
In this paper, the finite-difference time-domain formation of Maxwell´s equation in perfectly matched layer (PML-FDTD) is deduced in three dimensional (3-D) cylindrical complex stretched coordinates. In order to investigate the scattering characteristics of cylindrical objects by using cylindrical FDTD method, the boundary consistency conditions of total-scattered fields are proposed in 3-D cylindrical complex stretched coordinates, Further, planar wave excitation sources are set on the boundaries by using one dimension (1-D) FDTD and linear interpolation method so as to simulate the propagation of plane (TEM) wave in free space. The far-field scattering patterns of a hollow cylinder are computed when it exited by a TEM wave.
