Abstract :
Concerning the integration problems of enterprise applications, many middleware solutions are already proposed. It is worth mentioning that the topic of application integration is also one of the hot issues in the domain of distributed artificial intelligence (DAI) and multi-agent systems (MAS) with the aim of constructing collaborative services between heterogeneous applications. Some researchers predict that future direction for business information will be global integration, and this should be guided by each entity´s roles based on organizational analysis. Agent-oriented organization models or modeling methodologies can guide third party tool developers towards the effective use of technologies. The purpose of this paper is to give state-of-the-art discussions concerning enterprise application integration in general and the possible advantages of using agent paradigms for application integration.
