Abstract :
A common method for representing a set of data as a curve is the well known least squares approximation. This method is used to generate equations which represent a variable in terms of coefficients generated by the method and the other known variable. A new method is proposed which uses a similar derivation to create equations which represent the three dimensional data. This algorithm, the Three Dimensional Least Squares Estimation Method, is then used to predict future coordinate values from past data measurements.
