Abstract :
Planning the technical program for this expanded set of conferences started just before last year´s RWW2010 with the development of the First Call for Papers and its distribution through the RWW website, at the RWW2010, the MTT-S electronic newsletter, and various publications. The expanded scope of the RWW with the new conferences, the excitement of participating in an inter-disciplinary set of conferences, and the publicity have resulted in the submission of 320 papers from 35 countries, which is an increase compared to RWW2010. A representative Technical Program Committee for each of the five RWW conferences comprised of over 200 experts, with participation from many IEEE Societies (MTTS, ComSoc, APS, VTS, SSCS, CASS, EDS, SPS, ITS, EMBS, CPMT and others), has reviewed the papers and selected 226 papers that represent original research in Radio & Wireless Systems. The broad expertise of the review committee illustrates the broad, inter-disciplinary nature of RWW. Our thanks to all those who help formed the technical program.
