Abstract :
Focusing an intense sub 10 fs pulse together with its second harmonics in air, we have generated ultrabroadband coherent infrared wave ranging from far infrared to over 200 THz. Measurement with time domain spectroscopy assures that the wave is coherent. The mid infrared to near infrared component is observed with an HgCdTe detector.
