Abstract :
α-GeO2 crystals were grown and their piezoelectric, dielectric and elastic properties were studied. The crystals have higher piezoelectric constants than most other quartz-like materials. The thickness shear modes have temperature compensated cut near Y-cut. Some electromechanical parameters predicted by correlation with quartz-like crystal structure are suggested
