Bioinformatics Analysis of Squalence Synthase (SS) in Panax japonicus

Abstract :
Triterpenoid saponins is one of the medicinal ingredients of P.japonicus. Using bioinformatics software, we analyzed the squalene synthase(SS) what is one of key enzymes in the biosynthetic pathway of triterpenoid saponins that was cloned by us. The results showed that Panax japonicus SS gene located in the chloroplast transit peptide(cTP), mitochondrion transit peptide(mTP) and secretory pathway (SP), it has transmembrane.
