Abstract :
This paper presents the project carried out for benchmarking the Sri Lankan power system by selecting most suitable sites distributed in all over the island. It discusses applicability of harmonics and flicker standards, IEC 61000.3.6/7, for the CEB network and suitability of the other relevant PQ standards. Also the harmonic contents in the Sri Lankan transmission network is within the limits described in IEC planning level and EN 50160
