  • Abstract
This paper studied the application of sector radial flow chromatography (SRFC) filled with DEAE Sephadex CL-6B ion exchange resin to the separation and purification of polysaccharide of Nostoc flagelliforme. The effects of different factors on the separation efficiency were examined, and the optimal separation conditions were determined. The comparison of the separation efficiency of the sector radial chromatography with the cylindrical one also has been conducted. The results showed that the optimal separation conditions were 1.0 mg/ml of the sampling concentration, 0.5 ml/min of the elution velocity and 0.2 mol/l of NaCl elution. The purity of polysaccharides of Nostoc flagelliforme rise to 97.7% from 12.9%.
