Abstract
The general principle of phase balancing for a three-phase induction generator (IG) operating on a single-phase power system is investigated and a practical phase-balancing scheme is proposed. A phasor diagram approach enables the conditions of perfect phase balance to be deduced. The feasibility of the phase-balancing schemes is verified by laboratory experiments on a small induction machine
