Abstract
Mobile Social Networks (MSNs) comprise a social structure whose members are related in groups and the interaction is done through portable computing devices with access to wireless technologies, adding the ability to perform social interactions at anytime and anywhere. In health care it is possible to apply this concept for conducting collaboratively actions related to health care and its education. This paper proposes a communication infrastructure for collaboration in MSNs that will be developed in the context of the MobileHealthNet project, whose goal is to create a middleware to give support for the development of social networking applications in health care.
