Abstract :
Skills assessment can provide valuable information regarding technical ability in the professional rehabilitation process. Together with other objective functional assessments it can provide an additional indication of ones´ capabilities, thus providing a potentially effective revalidation tool for healthcare professionals. This paper discusses a collaboration project with the Israel Center for Medical Simulation. The project aims to provide a safe environment through simulation, for training and evaluation of a surgeon´s technical skills and to assess his ability to return to work.
