Abstract
One of the possibilities for achieving the interruption of DC circuits consists in a series introduction when disconnecting a supplementary resistance, so that the extinction of the commutation electric arc becomes possible by lowering the current values under the critical value. The analysis of the interruption process of the DC circuits which use supplementary series resistors makes it possible to obtain the graphical aspects of the voltage-current characteristics of the resistors for different modes of operation
