Abstract :
A novel integrated coaxial circularly-polarised OMJ/OMT (orthogonal-mode junction/orthogonal-mode transducer) structure is proposed for dual-band feed applications. The new structure is simple and compact with all the phasers, hybrids and power dividers built on the surface of the inner conductor. A section of coaxial waveguide engraved with these components performs all the functions of a large number of separate devices, such as polariser, OMJ, rectangular waveguide arms, power divider and OMT. Further, this structure is suitable for die-casting and could be used for mass production. The bridge ridge directional coupler used in the integrated CP OMJ/OMT is a new structure. It offers a new method for design of a directional coupler using a ridge waveguide at its common narrow wall.
